Esky/Schmigloo

Because most openings and festivals are just as much about experiencing the social space as they are about seeing the art- so why not make the art the bar?

A handmade inflatable, nomadic live art installation -come-bar
that parasites onto various venues for spontaneous pop-up gatherings.

First produced for Melbourne's 2008 Next Wave Festival. Since then Esky had a name change due to it clashing with the portable cooler boxes it was named after and became the Schmigloo!

Since then the Schmigloo has been featured at the Artrage and Northbridge Festivals in Perth and been part of the Performance Space’s LiveWorks program, Sydney.

The Schmigloo also transforms into the "Gigloo" to host gigs and live art performances.
